Gandhism (AAP) Vs Maoism in INDIA

It is very strange to compare these two ideologies in India. It is comparison between Power through Ballot Vs Power through Gun barrel. Indian Maoists are struggling for power through Maoism since 50 years but not succeeded and extended their target to 2050. But AAP has achieved it in just one year through Gandhism. Indian Maoists must learn a lesson from AAP success. They already wasted 50 years in realizing this truth, if they don’t review their foreign ideology and methodology they will not succeed even in 2050. Simply importing foreign ideology and applying locally without considering the local social, economic and cultural conditions doesn’t work. . India is totally different from China and Russia in social composition, culture and values. There are many reasons for differences, some of them are... The time and condition of the success of communism and Maoism in Russia and China is in different context. The communism in Russia and Maoism in China were succeeded during First World War and Second World War. If Indian Maoists want to succeed in India they need Third World war .If Third world war comes nobody knows what will be the condition of human race in the world, forget about the political map of next world. The success of Communism in Russia and Maoism in China is not just because of communist ideology alone. Inherently Nationalism also played major role in the success of revolution .After defeat of Russian army by German army in First World War people started thinking about the communism under Lenin leadership and supported Lenin instead of Tsarist autocracy . People started seeing the nations pride in Lenin than imperial government. In China also during the Second World War Japan attacked the China and encroached most of the Eastern coast. The Nationalist Govt in China has failed to stop Japan. Then Mao exploited the nationalism sentiment of people by attacking the Japan army in Guerrilla warfare. In many areas Mao fights the Japan army successfully than Nationalist army. Then people forced the nationalist Govt to make an alliance with Mao army to fight against the Japan Army on national cause. Mao exploited this opportunity and succeeded in the revolution. But in India Indian Maoists lack this nationalistic sentiment. If tomorrow China and Pakistan attacks India then Indian Maoists will support China and Pakistan rather than India, because they want to weaken the central govt at any cost. That’s why they supported every anti national movement in North East and Jammu Kashmir. Intelligence reports also revealing the links between ISI and Indian Maoists. Revolution doesn’t come just because of ideology and national sentiment. The social and economic condition of the people also plays major part in the success of the revolution. The people had been exploited in all spears by the Tsarist autocracy in Russia and corrupted Nationalist Government in china before revolution. Hunger, Poverty, Unemployment all fuelled the revolution... People actively took part in revolution to change the ruler. People didn’t have any medium or platform to express their anger, anguish and displeasure over the Government or state. Although Indian people lived same kind of hunger, poverty and unemployment after six decades of Independence, they didn’t supported violent Indian Maoists. They expressed their displeasure, anger and anguish through ballot rather than bullet in democratic system. The Indian Maoists in the name of Naxalite movement originate in India in the late 1960s. People didn’t see much change in their lives even after two decades of independence. Feudalist turned politicians didn’t bring much change in the country especially in rural areas. People in rural area started thinking Maoism as an alternative to the Feudal and corruption dominated democratic system. After Economic reforms in 1990s it changed living conditions of the people especially middle class. In era of coalition government good governance has become a problem. Corruption increased in the system. People started looking for change in the system. AAP took this opportunity and succeeded with Gandhian principles .But Indian Maoists failed to study the Indian local social and economic conditions with the time changing. They failed to read the feelings and mind set of average Indian. In the initial period poor people had seen Naxalites as protectors against every exploitation and injustice .But later they became as murderers and started killing the innocent tribal people by branding them as informers. They have turned as a Jungle mafia like under world mafia in Mumbai. Demanding the commission from contractors and corporate companies has become their regular business .If they don’t pay they will kill or destroy the property in the name of Maoism .Actually they had become part and parcel of the corruption. In the name of Maoism they stopped every development activity in rural and tribal belt. If development happens in these areas then nobody will support their ideology and their violent activity. Virtually they are forcing the people to be in poverty in order to support their violent activities in the name of revolution. They want to keep rural and tribal areas isolated from the development without any connectivity (road and tele connectivity). With these acts Indian Maoists lost the faith of the poor people over a period of time. They want to dominate the people through gun .They want to control the people with the fear. No revolution stands just on Gun and fear. Already the Russian revolution ended in 1990s. China has diverted from Mao path long back ago. But in India Indian Maoists are still struggling for Maoism without realizing their objectives and destiny. Obviously India needs a Revolution not with bullets, but with ballots. At present India need Gandhian revolution not Mao Revolution. Indian Maoists need One Arvind Kejriwal to succeed in Indian revolution.
